Paperwork
When you schedule your testing appointment, you will be required to complete the Heavenly Palms Student Information packet.
When appropriate, teacher forms will also be included in the packet.
Please provide your child’s teacher with the forms to complete prior to your student’s first testing appointment.
Complimentary Preconference
The diagnostician will ask clarifying questions and answer any questions you may have at this time.
A complimentary 30 minute preconference is included with diagnostic test packages.
Preparing Your Child for Diagnostic Testing
Ensure your student gets at least 8 hours of sleep the night before testing and a healthy breakfast.
Students are often anxious about the testing process. Our job is to make this process stress-free for students and parents.
Please explain that they will be doing some work to discover their academic strengths and weaknesses. This process helps parents and teachers understand how they learn and help students be more successful at school.
Avoid using the word “test” with your student. Instead, let your student know that some questions may be difficult. Explain that encountering difficulties probably means they have not learned the content.

Breaks and Snacks
Students will be testing for 2-6 hours.
They will be encouraged to take breaks, eat a healthy snack, and stay hydrated.
Treasure Chest
Students who do their best will be allowed to pick a prize from our
Heavenly Palms Treasure Chest.
Reports
Score Reports will be sent via email 1-2 weeks after diagnostic testing, or receipt of final payment.
We will attempt to schedule the 30-minute complimentary post-conference at that time.
Complimentary Post Conference
A complimentary 30-minute post conference is included with diagnostic test packages and will take place after receipt of final payment.
This time will be used to discuss reports and answer parent questions.
